In 2005, he graduated from the Wellness Education Center as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). He continued his studies at the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences in Nelson, BC. While studying acupuncture, he realized he was most drawn to learning how to develop a healthy lifestyle and how to use hands-on methodologies that do not tax the body.
It was during this time that he discovered Osteopathy and his love for it grew. He then learned a number of complementary techniques such as Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Bowen Technique, Hurley-Osborn Technique, Anat Baniel Technique (based on Feldenkrais), Biodynamic Craniosacral, and Visceral Manipulation.

I went to Eli at Kootenay Osteopathy for a pain I had in my side for months. Within 3 visits he addressed where the pain was coming from, how to solve it on a regular basis and ways to avoid it from the future. I was also dealing with some residual injuries that he worked through with me. The experience I had there was like no other in comparison.
