The Campbell River Art Gallery acknowledges that it is located on the unceded traditional territory of the Ligwida'xw people; the We Wai Kai, Wei Wai Kum, and Kwiakah First Nations, whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day. As uninvited guests to this territory, we use this acknowledgement in our gallery to highlight the enduring relationships Indigenous communities have with this land.
We opened in 1994 and remain Campbell River's sole public gallery, serving the surrounding regional districts and islands. We exhibit contemporary art by professional artists in our Main Gallery and Satellite Gallery. Our annual exhibition program is at the core of all the activity at the Gallery, directing workshop themes, lectures, school tours and community outreach.

A time honoured tradition of celebration and recognition of the local artists of Campbell River and the North Island region. This will be the 39th iteration of this popular showing of the creators in our community. Five BC based artists are producing new work in response to Sybil Andrew's biographical history, aesthetic style, and artistic practice.
The Campbell River Art Gallery's permanent collection tells the story of collecting practices and donations received since our beginnings in 1994. As we adopt decolonizing practices and engage actively in reconciliation, it is important that we reflect on how that story represents the ongoing history of art and culture in Campbell River and the remote communities the gallery serves.
The Members' Show is a joint partnership between the CRAG and the Campbell River Arts Council and is a celebration of the many artists that are a part of the Campbell River and area community. More than 50 artists, from professionals to newcomers, participate in this annual event. With funding from the Canada Council for the Arts, British Columbia Arts Council, the Province of British Columbia, and the City of Campbell River.
Inspired by a line by Mohawk/Tuscarora poet Janet Rogers, the exhibition redefines the ideas about Canada, and its 500 hundred year-old relationship with Turtle Island through de-colonial poetics, mythology, and contemporary multi-disciplinary Indigenous art practices. With funding by the Canada Council for the Arts, the British Columbia Arts Council, the Province of British Columbia, and the City of Campbell River.
