Rothesay Tennis Club
Whether you wish to play in a friendly mixed social, take a few lessons, or play on competitive teams, RTC offers all this and more. In 1898 John H Parks deeded a property along the road now called Tennis Court Rd to James F. Robertson. Four red clay courts with nets soon graced the land, with the lines chalked in by hand.

In 1902 the Rothesay Lawn Tennis Club held its first annual meeting. Within a year, 66 members served, volleyed and lobbed tennis balls on the dusty courts. Rupert Turnbull donated a trophy for what became known as the annual Turnbull Cup of round-robin club play, the first handicapped club tournament in all of Canada.

Includes 15+ after school lessons (Monday-Friday) and a full junior membership giving access to junior programming for the entire summer (even if you only take lessons in the spring). Includes 30+ lessons and a full junior membership giving access to junior programming for the entire summer.

For our spring lessons we will be holding a total of three lesson sessions: one red ball (ages 4-7), one orange ball (ages 8-11) and one green ball (ages 12-15).For our summer lessons we have not determined how many sessions we will hold and will determine this based on demand. This will also influence what times we set for the summer lessons.
Our ball machine can now be used during hours when staff are present aiming to use the ball machine between 12 PM and 4 PM for the time being. Staff will set the machine up and sanitize the equipment before use. Once finished please notify a staff member and we will sanitize the equipment and put the ball machine away.
In the e-transfer comment field please state the date and time requested and guest names. Members have access to all court facilities (courts, clubhouse, ball machine), as well as all additional programs and clinic put on by the club. There is a lot more than just access to the courts available to you!

Sometimes I played tennis a little bit because the weather was very hot.
