They're always so kind and considerate, the Vet took the time to call and explain everything for 10+ minutes. I like their COVID precautions too, makes me feel safe having the two door system.

Always excellent treatment at Queen West Vets. Courteous staff and great vets especially Dr. Scott Mathison. Their Covid protocols are efficiently observed with reasonable wait times and very friendly service. At my recent visit with my cat for her yearly vaccines and physical exam, all went smoothly with a very good report on my cat's health. However after I got home I realized that I should have asked if my cat needed another dose of flea repellant (Revolution). It's October but the weather has been warm. The next day I found a flea on my cat. I immediately called Queen West Vets (on a Saturday

I brought my cat to this new fancy Animal hospital for sterilization. On the first check up, they took my cat in and after about 30 mins later, they gave my cat back and charged me $150 for doing nothing. They complained that my cat was not cooperative. I was confused, shouldn’t the vet know how to calm animals down???? How could they even charge me for not doing anything??!!! Also they wanted me to give sedative drugs on the second visit. I had no problem bringing my cat to see other Vet, should the vet be trained to handle this sort of situation better? It is unprofessional for them to just

Wonderful clinic! They are very caring and very honest. I have been to other vets around the area and this one is by far the best. They truly care for your pet and DO NOT oversell you on procedures that are unnecessary. I genuinely feel like they care for my dog.

I am so happy with Queen West Animal Hospital. Friendly and kind staff and they took their time with my sweet cat to make her feel safe and then did everything to make her well again. After a couple unpleasant experiences with another vet, I definitely recommend this animal hospital.

I took my cat here after having a bad experience at a previous vet and they were amazing!
The vet seemed very honest and it showed she did care about my pet and his health. She told me everything I needed to know and made sure she did not miss any details. She also answered all of my questions! She was very nice!
All the staff were very kind.
After I took my cat home, I noticed he was very calm in the car when on the way here, he was crying. I believe the staff made my cat feel safe and calm which I appreciated!
It is a bit pricey, but I believe it is worth the price considering how well they

I witnessed staff do incorrect blood draws by pushing the plunger back and forth until blood came out. They botched my dog’s spay surgery and she is now incontinent. They misquoted the original cost for the surgery and they then tried to charge me more than the original quote until I provided the original document. I was then spoken to as though… they were doing me a favor. Yet I got quotes from other vets and they won the business only to try to change the cost later. They also routinely refused to sell me less expensive but effective heart worm meds unless I specifically and repeatedly

I have been taking my dog here since he was just a few months old. He is now seven and I will never be taking him back here. On May 28th he had his first seizure. I took him in and had some blood work done and was told because it was just his first seizure they just let it go but if he has anymore we will have to investigate further. In the… evening on June 25th he had another seizure. The next morning I called in and was told the veterinarian he originally saw for his first seizure was not in and they would have her call me the next day. Well that afternoon he had another seizure. I called

This is easily the best vet clinic I have ever been to. We adopted Molly when she was about 8, and ever since we had her she has been TERRIFIED of vets. We would always have to hold her during check ups because she would try to dive off the examination table. We didn't start going to Queen West Animal Hospital until this summer after they had begun the quarantine protocol of dropping your pet off. The first time we dropped Molly off, she tried to bite the vet tech came to take her inside.
However, ever since that first appointment, Dr. Rakocevic and the vet techs who have handled her have all

Quite simply, this is the best animal clinic I've used.

As someone who is familiar with healthcare systems, I understand the importance of continuity of care. Realistically though, I've moved several times, which means I've tried at least four clinics across Ontario and Quebec. Although one of those clinics provides comparable medical care, the customer service at Queen West is unparalleled. As others have mentioned, their prices are reasonable and the staff do not pressure or shame pet owners.

My commute to the clinic ranges from half an hour to four hours depending on my primary

My dog started here as a puppy. He is now 11. The service used to be great but it has been on the decline for some time. I was left waiting with my dog in the tiny exam room for 45 minutes for the vet for my last appointment, I finally left. If it was the other way around well we know how that would go down. Dr. brainbridge was great, Dr. Mathieson is good as well however who you see constantly changes and it is very impersonal. A few years ago my dog was diagnosed with arthritis due to his pain and limping and prescribed a strong anti inflammatory, and underwater treadmill etc. Turns out he did

Declawing is a painful, cruel, inhuman surgery! It's been banned in a lot of other countries because it's barbaric! It's amputation of the first knuckles, very painful, forcing the cat to walk on painful feet.… They have both mental & physical pain the rest of their lives usually leading to behavior problems like not using their litter box, change in personality & aggression (biting) then their surrendered. Declawing is animal abuse, do your homework, don't lie to the public & stop declawing!

Poor rating reflects this clinic's enthusiasm to declaw cats and kittens. They even stoop so low as to claim that there are no long term adverse effects. Anything to make a buck, right? What about humane alternatives?

I love everything about this clinic. I will start out with the only "downside", which is that they are quite expensive.
The vets and vet techs are extremely friendly and go out of their way to ensure all your questions are answered. I have a 9 month puppy who has been in there a bunch of times due to some unfortunate health sensitivities and they always are able to put my mind at ease and identify a direct course of action to remedy the situation.
Highly highly recommend them.

I've been taking my 2 senior cats to this office for care for the past 2.5 years.

The care has been excellent & I am extremely pleased with the help we have been receiving from both Dr. Tiffany Mason & Dr. Paula Fisher. I point the names of the vets out because 1) these women are both *excellent* veterinarians, 2) they are considerate of not pushing for a bunch of unnecessary things & 3) this office will have you see a different vet every time you come in UNLESS you ask & purposely set up to see who you want to each time. It is important to me that I have the same dr each

I'm gonna' start off by saying that I haven't had THAT much experience dealing with vets in my lifetime, BUT so far the folks at Queen West Animal Hospital take the cake.
I recently moved to Toronto from Vancouver, and one of my kitties is not dealing with it that well. He is basically the most stressed in life ever. I called QWAH to make an appointment, but before booking, they talked to me about a few much cheaper options I could try out to help him deal with the transition before bringing him in.

I booked an appointment anyways, and a few days later, brought both my cats in

Thank goodness for the lovable creatures at Queen West Animal Hospital who made Lily's first visit to the vet so great!

Today was our first "puppy visit" which could easily have left Lily (our 14 week old Yorkshire Terrier) scarred and not wanting to come back. Luckily this is not the case! They were so sweet with her and so gentle she didn't even notice that she got a needle.

Also they were very patient with me as I emailed and phoned around because I accidentally forgot to bring Lily's medical records. Oops, sorry guys! We even got a puppy starter pack travel case

This place simply rules when it comes to animal care. From the first time we took our rescued dogs here they have treated us extremely well. The staff is amazing and they truly care about the animals and their owners. On many an occasion they have gone out of their way to make special arrangements for my one dog that has some vet related anxiety issues and have always found creative ways to accommodate him.

All vets are expensive, but I find Queen West fairly reasonable. They have never forced a treatment or expense on us and have actually been quite good with helping to minimize our bills
