Polar is a family business; David Johnson founded the company in 1976. In 2010 his son-in-law, Mark Chown, became the company's lead Salesman.

We had a quote relating to a home purchase that this company had provided. The first phone call wasn't returned. When I called again, it was explained that their sales staff (who prepare the quotes) were on holidays so that they couldn't find the quote.
This was the only time I actually spoke to a person.
I offered to send it to them and did so, by email AND by fax. I called the next day to ensure it was received. No reply to the email, no call back. A few days later, I tried again.
All in all, over the course of 6 weeks, I left approx 8 voicemails - none of which were returned.
