What type of WETT-certified professional do I need? SITE Basic Inspector - These are individuals who can perform a level-1 inspection. Technician - These are individuals who can install or perform maintenance on wood-burning appliances. They can also perform a level-1 inspection, or a level-2 inspection when an appliance or major system component are replaced.
Thank you so very much for your knowledgeable advice and professional installation on our new gas fireplace. It looks amazing! This is to certify that K. McCurrie of Guardian chimney sweep service replaced our old chimney with a new one, and it gets our seal of approval. We are more than satisfied with the job.
Are you buying or selling a house? WETT certified technicians have different levels of certification for their inspectors. There is a level one inspection, a level two inspection and a level three inspection, just like the National Fire Protection Agency's code 211. WETT Canada suggests that a level one inspection performed by a basic site inspector will appease most insurance companies for fire insurance when buying or selling property.
