Washington Park Medical Clinic
Please bring your own mask. We currently are requiring medical masks once you arrive (we will provide one if you do not have your own), this is following Health Canada directions for medical clinics. We ask you sanitize your hands upon entering the clinic at the hand sanitization station provided. Please call our office if you are experiencing cough, cold, fever, runny nose, shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms.

Our staff will give you direction on how to get an appointment. It is important that your medical concerns are addressed adequately, especially if you have ongoing/chronic health conditions. Also, due to the doctor shortage we need to stick to 1 concern per appointment. You will have to return another day for subsequent concerns.

Doctor was rude, abrupt, aggressive with her exam (very painful), and not interested in trying to find solutions. Her short answer was "live with it". I would recommend the other walk-in clinic in Courtenay if you want a doctor who cares. Reception was nice at least.

Strep has been diagnosed in 2 of our 4 children. We were at the clinic at 8am today with the other 2 sick kids waiting for it to open. We were told that because 1 of the kids had respiratory symptoms that they would not be seen and to go home and wait for the Dr. To call and the Dr. Would decide whether they were to return or do a phone appointment. The Dr. Called at 1 pm and told us because the 1 child had respiratory issues she had to be covid tested prior to coming in. The Dr. Had no clue where to take her for testing and agreed that the covid test results would not be back in time to have her

I have been to this clinic once. My experience was very good. Everyone I spoke to was pleasant, and the care I received was efficient without seeming rushed.

No apology after messing up and not referring me correctly for a scan. I have been waiting for a scan appointment for 8 months and would never have received one as Washington Park didn't send the requisition in.

Receptionist didn't remember a phone convo we had FOURTY FIVE MINUTES PRIOR, among many other things (which lead to a misunderstanding).
"I didn't tell you you could sit down" he says to me as I sit on a chair, in the completely empty clinic.
Dude was a totally out of his depth even in this position, obviously stressed out (covid) and taking it out on random people, such as me.
Dude if you want to bully people and be a control freak so bad go be an airport security or a border agent, not a receptionist at a doctors office.
Just try to say as few words to the

For a walk-in clinic I think the service is very good. They have always been polite to me. Best thing to do is go right at the time it opens - at 8:am. If you can't do that then you have to wait your turn or leave and come back. That is the policy at all the local clinics, as far as I know.
