Sunset Motel has been a staple of Cache Creek since 1972. Established in 1972 but our fully renovated motel took on a new life in 2016. We added smart TVs, WIFI, a business station, lounge with full kitchen & offer a continental breakfast. We pride ourselves in having the best place in town! This motel is perfect for a short getaway or an overnight stop. Staff is friendly and helpful and the room was really clean! The on-site kitchen is really convenient if you stay for more days as you can cook your breakfast. We enjoyed the BBQ area a lot! Highly recommended!

Fossil microbialites represent some of the earliest remnants of life on ancient Earth, and were common from 2.5 billion to 540 million years ago. Today, microbialites are found in environments where conditions are often too harsh for most organisms. However, the microbialites in both Pavilion and Kelly lakes have provided a new environment for the scientific community to study.

Terrible, rude front desk check-in, room freezing cold with heat turned off and never could get warm enough, random leaves and hair in the bedding and bathroom, garbage in the room, and they rip you off if you check in in person - $90 in person, check-in online for $74. Will not stay here again, there is a reason other motels are full and this one isn't. They must be doing fake reviews of their place.

I’ve stayed here 3 times each time for about 4-5 nights for work. The first 2 times were great. This last time, I’ve been here 4 days and no one has even been in my room. My garbage was full and was never emptied, coffee mug was gross. Looked like it was rinsed only then put back. There was grossness in the bottom of it. Usually after two night someone at least comes in and refills the coffee makes the bed and takes out the trash. I was disappointed cause I liked this little place. Not sure I’ll come back. I spent a lot money here.

They have this website linked and they owner says it's not theirs, they haven't updated, they advertise 24 hour front desk and do the classic "that's not our website" false advertising and lack of any management skills. It's pretty sad that he wants nothing to do with managing the information being given out on behalf of the motel
