As you may or may not know, Girls registered in sports has taken a huge decline in recent years. It's not exactly known why but the statistics below are saddening. According to Gatorade's recent "Girls In Sports" study, girls are dropping out of sports at 1.5x the rate that boys do by age 14. By age 17, more than half of girls will quit playing sports altogether.

We want to maybe try and help curb this trend in our Club. In recent years we have even seen the impact in our Girls Divisions forcing us to reduce teams and spread out the players over the few Teams we have. The Board this year has voted and accepted the re-in-statement of "friend requests". We have listened to your feedback and are willing to give it a try.

The coaches at the Valley East Soccer Club are volunteers, and are therefore instructed on how to teach the youth players respect and fair play. All other training that coaches take care of are generally from their previous experience within the game of soccer. However, all imported coaches for our training programs such as the British Youth Camps are highly qualified coaches.

You are no longer allowed to ref outside of the VESC if you register with the club. Similarly you cannot ref within the VESC if you are registered as a referee with the OSA.
