The Green Door Cafe has been a local staple for years. Kate was born and raised in Algonquin Park. She has worked in restaurants all across Canada, from roadside diners to niche cafes. She brings a passion for craft cocktails, good wine, local beers and all things hospitality. Jeff is a Prairie boy.
After completing his training at The Pacific Institute for Culinary Arts in Vancouver, he's managed commercial bakeries and fast-paced kitchens throughout western Canada. Jeff's love for food, using fresh ingredients and genuine recipes, reveals in each bite a dedication to his craft. We focus on real food by honoring comforting classics.

Worth the drive to Wiarton!!!
We had lunch at the Green Door Cafe this week for the second time. The new owners, Kate and Jeff, really hit the mark with great food, excellent service and warm, small town hospitality. Jeff is a professionally trained chef and it shows in the quality of the delicious menu. Finally! Amazing food in the Bruce Pennisula........see you soon....

My party of 5 arrived and even though there were empty tables, we were told that it would be an hour wait because the tables were reserved already. We ordered 7 dishes as a group, all were absolutely delicious. We had the; pork short ribs, the Dutch baby appetizer, Cesar salad, power bowl, soup of the day, and the mushroom cheese appetizer. I highly recommend all of the dishes that we ordered. Plus great service and comfortable atmosphere. We will be definitely returning in the future.

We had our first indoor meal at the Green Door Cafe the other day and we were very pleased with the food and the service. We had the Funghi Fundido appetizer which had a nice bite to it due to the Jalapeno peppers. I had the fish and chips and the slaw was homemade and very fresh. My wife had the Mushroom Tagliatelle which she also liked. For dessert I had the Cheesecake with salted caramel which was a very large piece and my wife had the chocolate tart which was very good. The only downside was that the restaurant seemed very hot with only 1 overhead fan (perhaps no AC) and the noise level was

This is a beautiful little romantic spot with delicious food. Incredibly friendly and clean! My boyfriend got the Steak Frits and I got the Smash Burger. The food was made fresh and it truly sat properly in our system. You know that heavenly full feeling after a wholesome high quality meal? Exactly what we got here. Awesome! 👏
