GVMHA Mission Statement: The Greater Vernon Minor Hockey Association is a community based organization that is focused on attracting family membership through providing challenging and comprehensive hockey development programs for our local youth. Our volunteers and employees alike will make every effort to run our day to day program operations in a transparent, informative, fair and inclusive manner.

The hockey season is now in full swing! As we all know, our sport is a fast-paced, action-packed game that is both physically and emotionally demanding. Injuries in hockey are inevitable and will occur. The vast majority of injuries are unavoidable and are part of the game.
During the initial incident, it is often difficult for the coaches / health & safety person to know the severity of the players injury or even if they are truly injured due to the adrenaline rush and the emotionally-charged situation.Most situations are clear cut whether players can continue playing or not.

Congratulations to our Peewee Tier 2 team, winning the OMAHA league banner and then bringing home Gold at the BC Hockey Provincial Championship! Congratulations to the Peewee Butcher Boys Rebels for winning league and playoff Championships in the ONSL, and the Midget Talon Benefits Thrashers for winning league champions in the ONSL, and Corbett Office Plus Kings for winning the ONSL Championships.
