Priska Welbers is the founder and owner of IMAGO DEI Child Care. She holds a Master's degree in Christian Education from Talbot School of Theology (Biola University), California, and has served as a youth pastor for several years. Before that, she worked with children for over ten years.
After taking an Early Childhood Education course (with an emphasis on the Reggio Emilia approach) at MTI Community College in Vancouver, she worked for more than three years as a teacher in a preschool, in Strong Start, and in an after-school program and continued her studies of the Reggio Emilia approach by taking more courses.

Services
In caring for and guiding children's behavior, we ensure their safety and help them in developing their self-esteem, self-control, and sensitivity in their play and interactions with others. We aim to learn and grow together with the children on their journey of growth, change and development through their discoveries of self, others and God, and through relationship and interaction with one another.
The Bible (Old and New Testament) is Scripture, meaning that God inspired the writers to record what He wanted to communicate. It is the infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God. And therefore the supreme and final authoritative rule for faith and practice. There is one sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Our staff are passionate and God-fearing ECEs who provide a warm and loving teaching and learning environment for children to grow and explore the world and all creation in it. All are certified Early Childhood Educators, have current Child-Safe First Aid certification and have undergone a Criminal Record check.

I had the the chance to be in Imago Dei childcare for four weeks.the children and the teachers are wonderful people to be around.Teacher Cherry and Teacher Priska shows their experiences they have with the children. These children not only learn how to be indepent but they learn how to love one another,be positive at all time.they also know that God is always first in our lives,these children learn with alot of natural materials,so they know about recycling,and many more.i could go on to say how great it is to know that there is a child care that teaches our children from very young age that play

Outside of our nanny, my wife and I have entrusted no more than a few people to care for our son. Putting him in part-time pre-school was an adjustment for us all, but Priska, Cherry, and the team at Imago Dei were loving, patient, caring, and made the transition a wonderful experience.

I'm soooooo grateful to have my 2 girls enrolled in IMAGO DEI. They love their circle time, play time, classmates, teachers... simply everything of the school. Teacher Priska and teacher Cherry are super amazing! Every morning they are so lively and energetic to welcome students at the door. They are always very patient, encouraging, and so passionate about seeing their students to succeed. What I like the most is that they integrate Christian values into the curriculum, emphasizing the importance of God. Our experience at IMAGO DEI has been beyond exceptional.

Priska and Cherry give their hearts and souls to their work and the children. IMAGO DEI is a fantastic school. The teachers are IMAGO DEI are loving and caring. But most impressive is the thoughtfulness of the teachers in coming up with new themes to teach the children. I only learnt recently that they actually decorate even the window with paintings (among other things) each month that would match the theme of the month! Apparently the teachers enjoys such works because they have so much passion for what they do.

I am very fortunate to have my son learn in this preschool. After experiencing two other big-name day cares, i knew Imago Dei is the right place for my son. I loved this school when i first came to visit. I can feel dedication, caring and love in the every detail of the decoration and furnishings. This is a most wonderful find of a child care. We were very fortunate to have a spot when our previous daycare had to shutter down. Priska (owner and main teacher) has a wonderful heart for the kids and has taken a lot of care in this daycare, seen in the details of the actual location and furnishings, as well as in her teaching.
