Born and raised by Dutch parents on a dairy farm in Chilliwack, Mary-Anne developed a love of Gardening and Horticulture at a very early age, and it has become a lifelong passion. She attended UFV, Chilliwack, and earned her certification in Horticulture and Design, as well as a British Columbia Provincial Integrated Pest Management Licence.
She then went on to earn her certification as an Organic Master Gardener. She has also attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she continued to improve her skills at Computer Drafting for Landscape Design. She maintains that you can never know enough, and she loves to learn all she can within her busy schedule.

Mary-Anne provided a design and landscape ideas for our garden. Super organised and extremely knowledgeable about all plants. She is also an organic certified gardener and specializes in planters which we so enjoy. If you are looking for a new design for your garden Rootzone will provide design and installation with water features, walk ways, plant selection for all areas of sun and shade.

My garden had become overgrown and very difficult to manage, after looking at various other landscaping sites I was convinced Mary-Anne was what I needed. She showed up and we went over what needed to be done to lessen my work and provide more color and variety. Mary-Anne is an extremely hard worker and had my garden transformed in no time and with-in my budget. Highly recommended! Great job Mary-Anne and thank you!
