Our support groups are offered in a confidential setting for families and friends or for individuals living with mental illness. Support groups bring together people facing similar challenges. Members often share experiences, knowledge and advice. It can be helpful to know that you are not alone in your experience.
DIRA-Estrie is a non-profit community organization whose mission is to prevent and fight against elder abuse. Provides support, information, referrals and accompaniment. TDA/H Estrie informs, educates, and supports those living with ADHD.

Anxiety disorders are very commonly experienced at the same time as depression. Much like "the chicken and the egg, " it is often difficult to differentiate between which one came first. Social Anxiety Disorder is the third most common psychiatric disorder and is a treatable medical illness. Exact cause is unknown; may be a chemical imbalance in the area of the brain that regulates thinking and mood.
Once depression is recognized, help can make a difference for 80% of people who are affected, allowing them to get back to their regular activities. Mental Health Estrie offers support groups for family and friends who have a loved one coping with a mental illness. Mental Health Estrie is a valuable resource for people suffering from mental health disorders or going through difficult times in their lives for English speaking persons in the Estrie region of Quebec. They offer support to the English community by providing a support group as well as references for applicable services for the English speaking community.
