Dr. M. Ronan Conlon was lucky enough to begin his career in ophthalmology in tandem with the pioneering of refractive eye surgery in Canada. To bring laser eye surgery to Canada, Dr. Conlon and his colleagues had to first bring a laser. In 1996, this meant travelling to Germany, where the laser technology had been developed, and bringing a laser home.

Thanks to the entire team at Conlon for making my surgery as easy as possible. The staff was friendly and helpful. Dr Conlon provided a good explanation of what needed to happen and took time to answer my questions. Surgery was available quickly and all of his staff were kind and reassuring. Nurse Ashley follows up with you in the days after surgery and provided a cell number for all questions and concerns.

Process leading up to surgery was clear and efficient. On the procedure day, procedure was right on time, things were explained to be very clearly and the whole process was efficient.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Conlon Eye Institute for LASIK surgery. I was impressed from start to finish. The staff is efficient and professional and all appointments ran on time. I also could have been booked in for surgery within a week of my consultation if I had been prepared for that. I was extremely surprised by how quick and painless LASIK was and I experienced a quick and painless recovery with perfect vision! Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience.

While the outcome of my surgery is very satisfactory, I was most impressed by the staff and how they interact with patients. Over my several visits, I observed each person being treated with respect, kindness and patience. Kudos to the staff for creating such a welcoming and positive atmosphere for everyone, regardless of their abilities.

My experience at Conlon Eye Institute was excellent! The team surrounding Dr. Conlon, with Ashley and Vlad were by far the best in their class. The entire staff was very informative and super helpful, all the way from the front desk to the surgical room. There is a reason Dr. Conlon and their team are known for being one of the most skilled and experienced eye institutes and they proved it. Dr. Conlon and his staff were amazing. I was nervous about the procedure and they made me feel so reassured and comfortable. I was even given after hours contact information for his nursing staff. When I messaged with a question about my healing on the weekend, I received a response almost immediately. I would definitely recommend this clinic.

The efficiency and professionalism of the entire office is excellent. I do not see as well as I expected yet, but Dr Conlon is still working on that; neither of us has given up yet.
The staff working the operating theater are exceptional. In particular, nurse Ashley, is very reassuring and comforting. I can't hardly imagine a surgeon having hands as steady as Dr Conlon, he is amazing.

Had blepharoplasty and internal eye lift and had some difficulties with the stitches on the inside of my eyelid. Ashley was super responsive and got me in to see a doctor right away at the hospital when Dr. Conlon wasn't available. She also provided really good communication after my stitches procedure and has been nothing but helpful and friendly. This type of customer service is really appreciated after all the difficulties I've been through with my vision issues :)

I had surgery on my eye lids today and was impressed with all the staff in the office who were very friendly and organized. I didn't have much of a wait and I was called for the surgery where Ashley explained how they would proceed and answered my questions. Dr. Conlon came in to freeze my eye lids and within a few minutes was back to complete the surgery. All went well and soon I was done and headed home with recovery instructions. I appreciated the follow up in the evening when Ashley got in touch with me to see how I was feeling.

All I can say is it is a completely worthwhile experience! I have been wearing glasses since I was ten, so know the struggle of changing prescriptions and having to purchase new glasses and/or contacts every year or two.
Now at 23, I can't tell you how exciting it is to be free from that! It was such a pleasant surprise the first morning after surgery when I was going to my post-op and was about to grab my glasses and then thought, "oh wait, I can already see!" My vision was 20/20 the very next day!
