The main difference between Preferred Window Coverings and some of our competitors is we are a Hunter Douglas Certified Installer. Whether it be shutters, blinds or draperies and hardware, if your coverings are installed by a non-certified installer your warranty may be void. We carry at all times a liability insurance binder and a WSIB Clearance Certificate.
At Preferred Window Coverings, we are able to sell and install both vinyl and wood shutters on all kinds of doors including, sliding patio doors, garden doors and bay and bow windows too. We also caulk all mitres on shutter frames - a must for a proper installation. We offer a variety of vinyl shutter brands to our valued customers including those that are GREENGUARD Certified.

Kevin was very thorough. From day one provided options and gave us advice to what we would feel comfortable with both in aesthetics and pricing. He came to our house to provide samples and options. Never once did we feel he was impatient etc. He installed with same professionalism and friendliness.

My Hunter Douglas roller blind detached from the housing, I needed it fixed, clearly this wasn't going to be Kevin's biggest or most important job but he treated as such! He is very knowledgable in his craft, which sadly these days is rare and he was very kind and generous with his time when he dropped by with the repaired blind, helping me put it back and configuring it just right. Thanks again Kevin, I'm happy to recommend you to my friends and family!

My son used this company to do work in his home and was very satisfied with the job.My wife and I needed some window coverings for our home and we were not sure what we wanted.We went to Preffered Window Coverings and looked at the various displays and set up a time to meet with Kevin the owner .We were very satisfied with his professionalism and knowledge of what window coverings would work for us.I can say with all honesty that he did a fabulous job with the installation and we are very happy customers and would recommend him to anyone.
