Shannonville Motorsport Park
It was built in 1974 by John Nelson who was a motorcycle and racing enthusiast. He operated a motorcycle shop in Toronto and built the track to organize motorcycle racing events. The original Nelson track - named after Mr. Nelson - was expanded over the years and can now be used in four different configurations.

The facility also includes a drag strip and skidpad. Shannonville proudly hosts a variety of motorsports activities year round. Motorcycle and car enthusiasts can enjoy the many lapping events available to them. Shannonville will host five championship drag racing events and five drifting events in 2020.
Services
There will be signage to identify restricted zones and frequent disinfection of high-touch areas. Stay home if you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough or shortness of breath;. Our goal is to resume limited operations with full regard to public safety guidelines regarding physical distancing and proper health measures to limit exposure to possible respiratory illnesses.
Shannonville provides two different lapping experiences for cars. Car Lapping Days are popular with those drivers that want to experience the Long track for a full day. On-track activity begins at 9 a.m. and lunch is included. Motion Monday is scheduled each month between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Please familiarize yourself with these Car Lapping Day Rules to ensure an enjoyable and successful day.
The season begins in April and runs until October. The variety of corners on our Drifting track provides the ultimate challenge in car control and showcases the top tandems. Junior drifters can hone their skills on our huge skidpad before taking on the Drifting track. Gate fee for all: Driver/crew/passenger is $17.70 plus HST, total of $20.00 - payable at the gate.
Participants can drive the popular Nelson track and test their reaction time on the Fabi Drag track - timing slips will be provided. The evenings begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m. Participants can enjoy unlimited lapping and launches for a single fee. Daytime events run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please check our schedule below for available dates.
Media credentials are very limited and are available only to qualified media members. Photographers must wear a photo vest during ALL on-track sessions. Media credentials will be issued only to recognized journalists representing newspapers, news services, racing publications, television and radio networks, local television stations and other approved media outlets.

*Disclaimer: I am a noob who brought my husband here for his birthday and have never visited any other track I could compare.

I bought my husband a pass for the track, which he's never driven on before. I didn't realize he had only done drag racing and when he saw his gift, he was understandably a little overwhelmed - a helmet is recommended (which he didn't have), and I had no clue what the wear and tear really is on a car on the track, no matter what car - especially the tires.

I suggested we could just sit and watch the other cars and, in the meantime, talk to the office manager

Surprised my boyfriend with a 6 laps racetrack experience from Liberty Exotics.

We drove pretty far for this, as it was a 2 hour drive from Mississauga to Shannonville.

When we arrived we were told to meet at the Fabi Circuit Track which is located all the way at the back of another track.

Registration and payment took about 10 minutes. So arrive a bit early for this. They recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes for this.

I took advantage of the upgrade options. To drive the Lamborghini Huracan there was an upgrade fee of $129. And if you want a video of your experience it was an additional

This racetrack is a cool combination of curves and straightaways. It is very fun to drive at this track but there are far too many sharp corners mostly intended for motorcycles. It is fun to drive through twisties at first but lap after lap it gets tedious. But again i have blast ripping through the corners as you cannot find shapes like these on streets.

There is a couple of other tracks here, which I haven't driven on. But the one I reviewed is the main track. There are go karts and drag strips too.
