James Frey had his first encounter with construction as a teenager when a local contracting company began working on a project in his neighbourhood. Not one to sit on the sidelines, James offered to help with various tasks on the job site. Before long he was hooked. James left school and spent the next 12 years training and working in construction for this same company.
In 1989, after completing his certificate in carpentry, James, and his wife, Eunice, made the momentous decision to strike out on their own. They established Trademaster Custom Carpentry, a company that has called on James to employ his strong entrepreneurial and people skills. Through hard work, integrity, patience, and with a focus on open and trusting communication, James has built a successful business.

We had the construction portion of our main floor and Kitchen Renno completed by Trademaster Custom Carpentry (James Frey ) – it’s beautiful, functional and we love everything about it! Throughout the entire project, James listened/communicated very well with us, he and his carpenters (particularly Stew and Shawn) and the sub-trades he brought in, were extremely professional/accommodating and maintained a very clean worksite!! In the end, our project exceeded our expectations and we are enjoying it immensely!!
