I went to see Dr. Mao and Shania yesterday for the first time. Shania was incredibly warm and friendly, helpful and efficient! And the same with Dr. Mao. He sat patiently and listened to what I had to say. He asked me questions to confirm that he'd understood my needs correctly and after I was done explaining, he did some tests and arrived at a solution for me. I left with two different trial contacts so I could decide which worked better. He is incredibly kind and thoughtful and knowledgable and smart. I am so thrilled that I found him!

This was my first visit to Dr. Mao's office. I had been having a lot of issues with my prescriptions from my previous optometrist over the past few years, so I thought I would try a new optometrist. I was able to get in for an appointment within a week and Dr. Mao shared information regarding my eye health that I had not been made aware of previously. He provided solutions for my dry eye issue and after my exam provided me with a new prescription for glasses. My friend recommended Dr Mao a few years ago. And since then he has also become my dad and daughter's doctor as well.

I would highly recommend Dr. Mao! It was refreshing to visit a practicing optometrist with ophthalmologic training and awareness of complex eye issues. He was very friendly and took the time to ask me about the functional impact of my visual impairment, and explore how to better adapt to vision changes. Dr. Mao and his staff were also familiar with Assistive Devices Program, which was helpful, and knowledge of funding programs like this is rare to find in an optometrists’ office. I just wanted to let you know that my visit this morning exceeded my expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming which helped me feel at home right away. Dr. Mao took the time to get to know me and to talk about my concerns. He explained everything very well and took the time to explain next steps. This is the best eye care I have received over the many years of eye exams and prescription glasses. I am 63 years young and I have started to have problems whereby I need bifocals and the prescription does change as I get older. Dr Mao is very good and quite personable. The convenience of having the Ivey Eye Institute right down the hall from Dr Mao’s office is a real time saver. I also take my mother there for her eye care as well. I strongly recommend Dr Mao to anyone that is looking for, or looking to change their eye care doctor. I have been spreading the word to my friends here in London

Dr. Mao is very professional and knowledgeable. He explains everything thoroughly and is very nice. Then I saw Corinne who helped me choose frames and did a fantastic job with providing feedback . She was so pleasant to deal with. At the end I saw Shania to pay and she too was so pleasant and friendly. It was so great to deal with the entire staff at the Mao Eye care clinic and I look forward to my next visit.

Excellent optometrist! I've had issues with dry eyes and he took the time to discuss with me my concerns and made appropriate recommendations. I also have a lot of concerns brought up to me by previous optometrists and so I had many questions. Dr. Mao took the time to answer all of my many questions, and was very patient. He appeared extremely knowledgeable and even my friend who had come with me to the appointment was very impressed by him.
Also purchased glasses and frames from the attached optical store. Corrine was friendly and very flexible in helping me order frames that I had found

I was looking for the optometrist in London and came across Dr. Mao Clinic. I am very happy that Dr. Mao is my family optometrist. He is extremely knowledgeable, explains everything very well, and is very thorough with examinations.
