George Moir had a passion for restoration of Ford cars and trucks. In 1971 with $300.00, he started George Moir Antique Auto Parts Ltd. The business outgrew his garage and he moved twice to allow his business to expand. In 1995 he moved into his newly constructed store/shop in Stony Plain, Alberta.
George continued to expand the reproduction parts inventory and became the largest retail provider of reproduction Ford parts in Canada. To date this is still true. In 2006 he made the decision to sell the business to an employee. Unfortunately, it did not work out. In 2018 George purchased the business back and changed the name to George Moir Antique Auto Parts 1971 Ltd.
