Active Release is a soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. These 500+ protocols allow Dr. Case to identify and correct problems that are affecting each individual patient.
Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be treated, improved or resolved by Dr. Case with ART.Postural strain causing tight muscles and other soft tissues to not get enough oxygen (hypoxia).

The high-energy acoustic (sound) waves non-surgically penetrate the soft tissues, targeting damaged areas. This helps to stimulate new blood vessel growth (neo-vascularization) and regeneration as well as to finish healing in recent or chronic muscle, tendon or ligament and calcification injuries. These pulses occur for short periods of time, creating micro-cavitation bubbles that expand and burst.
During a back adjustment, your back undergoes quick, gentle stretching of the spinal facet joint so you may hear a cracking or popping noise. This is caused by small pockets of air that are in the fluid that surrounds your joints. When joint tissues are stretched during a chiropractic adjustment, the pockets of air "pop, " which creates that cracking sound you hear.
Dr. Case will perform a comprehensive analysis of your foot, gait and function and obtain a detailed history of your specific situation and previous/current injury. If necessary, your foot impression with then be taken and sent to the lab. After approximately 2 weeks your orthotics will be ready for pick up.

As a fellow chiropractor in Langley, I regularly refer patients in Vancouver to Dr. Case. He has great skills (ART, manipulation, rehab knowledge) and tools (laser, shockwave, graston) to work on spinal or sports injuries. He also seems to know everything about running, nutrition, sports rehab, etc.

Dr. Case is an incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional chiropractor. His work with active release therapy was the only relief I could find after struggling for months with chronic back/hip pain. If it weren’t for him, I might never have gone for the x-ray that ended up diagnosing me with Ankylosing Spondylitis. His suggestions and support got me through some hard times and he has helped me learn to manage my pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Case, particularly those seeking ART.

Oh lord. i'm amazed I just scrolled over and selected 5 stars. Mainly because my sessions with Dr Case usually involved such high levels of pain and discomfort that i end up bursting out in hysterical laughter. No joke.
He does Active Release Technique which i guess involves metal tools that I swear I saw in Dead Ringers (he's not like that though!)....metal bars that he runs over tendons, muscles, bones...jeezus! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS!?!?
But Dr Case is awesome. Really. I saw him when I had a chronic ITB injury that meant I couldn't run more than 5min before
