This "badge" developmental program, designed by Gymnastics Canada, allows kids to expand on their skills starting at a beginner level and working towards advanced levels of skill acquisition. Children must be four years of age to participate, and class placement is based primarily on age but badge level is considered when going into advanced classes.
Many children enjoy gymnastics. It appeals to their sense of adventure and energy. Some children dedicate themselves to the sport and take their gymnastics to high levels. Others enjoy attending for the fun activities, sociability and ongoing challenges. Gymnastics is an excellent foundation for the fundamental movements of most sports.
Gymnasts at this level have been moved up from the recreational program. This group is the first phase of our advanced competitive program. This group is designed for athletes who display the potential to excel in gymnastics mastery at a very young age. These pre-competitive (developmental) groups are based on several stages of progressions.
Is your child ready for the next level? During the Winter and Spring sessions of the recreational program our competitive manager Kim will be doing walk through's looking for athletes who would make a great addition to the competitive program the fall. Both Kim and the recreational manager Sarah work together to recruit the most suitable athletes for the program.
