At Status Barber Shop we are focused on not just being a business but being rooted in the community we grew up in. The unfortunate truth is that not all children in Victoria can afford to get their haircut. We at Status have created a program called Hair Cuts for Kids. If you know someone who has a child but can't afford to take them to a barber, please bring them into Status Barber Shop and have a chat with on of our staff.

Troy came recommended from a colleague and his cut definitely didn’t disappoint. His attention to detail on my fade was great and the work he did to tie in the fade into a proper taper fade on both my beard and haircut was second to none. He’s well worth the money spent as this type of quality work is what I have come to expect from my own barber on the mainland and would not hesitate to have Troy cut my hair if I’m ever over in Victoria again.

Loved this shop! Great energy, super clean, and such a diverse team of barbers! Zoe was amazing! I left so happy with the cut I got. We clicked right away and she really got the vibe I was going for. 10/10 would recommend!

I got a Platinum Men's Cut from Karen and it was perfect. I usually am not one who likes his hair (I use to just shave it every few weeks), however, I am trying to go for the more mature look and have a hair style. That is sure what she did! Great haircut, style, and experience. Will be only going to her from now on.

My man desperately needed a hair cut and beard/moustache trim. We were nearby have breakfast and decided to stop in. No need for a wait and we were lucky to have Conrad as his barber. He has a great eye for detail and took his time make sure that my hub looked his best. Nice atmosphere too, especially considering they are in the midst of renos due to a recent flood. If we lived in the area, I'm sure we would come back to see Conrad.

They take care of your hair. Their definite strong suit is their service and friendly atmosphere. The owner was next to me cutting someone else's hair and he's very energetic and passionate about what he does. His music is also on point!

Without a doubt, the best place I have ever got my hair cut. I found out about them through a groupon deal and my first haircut was great. The atmosphere in there is great and the whole place feels welcoming. The owner and staff are extremely helpful and make the place run smoothly. My second time in there was even better, the place was full of people coming and going. It was the best haircut and exactly what I wanted. They even asked if I wanted to wait for a certain person who specializes in what I was looking for and I couldn't be happier.

My most recent visit to Status was for my son, however I also got recommended by the owner to see the "asian guy", that he was "awesome". My son usually sees Mo when we come to Victoria, he's awesome! I was reluctant to have my hair cut because it is a barbershop but I was told by the owner, he was great at women's hair?! I should have listened to my gut instinct. I asked for a trim because I am growing my hair out and he proceeded to butcher my hair, pulling it all forward from the back and cutting it at bang length.
