Shawn started in the electrical trade 21 years ago after 10 years in the forest industry where he had worked in development and silviculture. In 2004, he started Rooham Electric, named after his father's last name Rooney, and his step-father's last name, Hamling. As a business owner, Shawn especially enjoys the challenge of running his own company, with all of its downfalls and rewards.
When he isn't busy with the business, Shawn can be found camping with his family, fishing, skiing, dirt biking or watching hockey. Born and raised in Kamloops, Richard joined the Rooham team just over a year ago as a red seal chef looking for a change. He has completed his first year of schooling and has shown a great deal of potential in this new-to-him industry, while keeping the entertained with his great sense of humor.

We had to move a light fixture and get rid of the wiring from a removed hot tub. Adam made a few suggestions that saved time but made no difference to the finished result, saving us money. He was very friendly and professional. We will certainly use Rooham again when needed.

I am very impressed with Rooham Electric. I would highly recommend them. In a situation where I was desperate to get a job done because of another contractor doing very poor work taking over 50 days!!!! I called Monday morning and Tuesday they had Brandon come in and spend the day on my trailer doing exceptional work. Thank you Rooham!!! Shawn and Brandon!!! Best electricians I’ve ever dealt with. They did everything for me including bidets, video cameras, lighting and Tesla chargers. Not only were they a one stop shop for me but while one of the techs was at my… new house he noticed the sump pump wasn’t hooked up or my water meter. He wired them both up in no time but I was impressed how on the ball he was to even notice these two things in a dark corner and it’s not what he was here to do. They pay attention to the details. Highly recommend

Rooham Electric was instrumental in ensuring the damages to my flooded condo were inspected and repaired . The work provided was efficient and is of extremely high standards . I feel safe and all my electrical issues have been repaired in a timely manner allowing me to be able to return to my unit just in time for Christmas. The electricians I met were very professional and personable . Patient and helpful in answering any questions I had. The response and organization of work was pleasantly efficient and immediate. I am so pleased and grateful this is the company the Restoration company employed
