If you have a wood burning fireplace or stove, having it inspected and cleaned on a regular basis is essential. A1 Quality Chimney is a full-service chimney company that has been serving homeowners in Toronto and surrounding areas for almost 40 years.
Chimneys serve to vent combustion by-products from fireplaces or appliances. Since this goes on behind the scenes, problems that arise within your chimney often go undetected until they reach crisis proportion. Proper cleaning and maintenance is necessary to keep your chimney functioning as it should.
Our chimney repair crews have repaired or rebuilt thousands of chimneys in Toronto. Our clients include the City of Toronto, University of Toronto, and some of the largest property managers in the city. A chimney rebuild is a common requirement amongst older homes and buildings and, owing to our experience, our pricing for a chimney rebuild is extremely competitive.
A metal chimney liner is required to help vent the harmful combustion products from wood burning fireplace inserts and gas burning appliances in your home. All fireplace inserts (a pre-fabricated metal fireplace installed inside of a brick fireplace) require a stainless steel liner. However, most brick fireplaces do not need a new metal lining (see our blog for more details).

I had the most amazing experience with A-1. They went out of their way to help me, explaining how to work around a missing damper and giving me places to go to get a replacement made and how to install it myself. They walked me through the options to get it done through them and recommended I do not do so given the high cost involved. Very impressed with the service.

We moved into our house this year and needed someone to inspect and clean the chimney to ensure it was safe to use. This is our first real fireplace so a lot to learn. we had another company clean this out for us last year and only days after our damper broke or fell off track. I just called A1 and Aaron, who answered the line really did his best to help out and got me on the phone with a technician RIGHT away to see if they could help with the issue we're having. Fast forward 10 minutes and Owen ( a tech) was on video call with me to see if he could help me with my issue. The amount of education and understanding i got from our call was

Was looking to have someone inspect two chimneys in a house we purchased this year, and came across A-1 Quality on google search. The reviews were amazing, so I decided to give them a try. Appointment was very easy to set up and appointments were available couple days away. Zack has come on time and was super friendly. Explained everything to us, letting us know that one of the fireplaces is unsafe to use while the other one is. He still cleaned both chimneys as agreed, and gave us a few tips on how to warm up the flue. He came ready with floor cover and used a vacuum to prevent dust from coming

Great admin staff with respect to setting up an appointment that worked my schedule. The technician arrived within the convenient 2-hour appointment window and was polite and pleasant. He was able to teach me a few things I hadn't known about my fireplace and chimney, and did the job quickly, efficiently, and cleanly.
Payment was a breeze with credit card, and all was said and done within about 45 minutes.
At less than $200, I am very satisfied with A-1's service and will use them the next time. I'm happy, based on my personal experience, to recommend them without hesitation.
