The Drapery Den was established in 2011 for Marilyn to continue her 40+ years of providing drapery services - a business that she is very passionate about. She continues to attend drapery and fabric conferences in North America so she can keep up-to-date on the window fashion world and share her knowledge with others in the industry.

Marilyn has spent 40 years in the drapery industry, starting as a seamstress to earn the money to go to college, then a window coverings consultant, and from 2003-2013 the supervisor of window coverings for a large custom decor company. She studied Interior Decorating and Fashion Design at Ryerson and graduated from Carleton University with majors in Communications, Industrial Psychology and Business.
Assist client in choosing blinds, drapery, shutters and associated products and negotiate volume purchase discount if applicable. Order details to include special instructions and location labelling as needed. Conduct follow up inspections and replace or repair any deficiencies immediately to meet supplier contract.
