The Caregiver Program has undergone many changes by Immigration, Refugees and Citzenship Canada in recent years. Some programs, like the Live-In-Caregiver Program and Caring for Children Program have closed, while others have opened. Caregivers can now qualify for an occupation specific open work permit and permanent residence for themselves and their families.
A Humanitarian and Compassionate (H & C) application is a case-based application which focuses on an applicant's personal situation and circumstances. Approvals are discretionary. This application requires strong documentation and evidence in order to strongly outline your reasons for becoming a Permanent Resident of Canada.

We started this journey during the midst of the global pandemic, there was so much uncertainty about the future, but we by chance stumbled upon Pathway to Canada and Shawna, after almost 2 years of trying to dodge unaccredited and "fly-by night" immigration companies. Our process was not an easy one, by way of Owner-Operator LMIA for my partner and it took some time for us to reach the point where we are now - 14 months later, but we are in the possession of two very shiny Work Permits. This company is run by excellent people who have always been there to help me with any questions and issues I have had. They are well versed in all the legal aspects and always had answers for everything. They are willing to go far beyond what they need to do. I have known Shawna and her team since 2014. I got my permanent residency and then filed for my citizenship through her company. In both cases the process went so smoothly and I got approved ahead of the scheduled time.
Shawna has the best team you could find. I have dealt with a few of her team members, and the one that stood out the most was Evelina. She is a rock star period. Very professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. She is always polite and efficient.
