CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - Getting fired could possibly be the best thing that ever happened to Shawn Baird, career-wise. Because had his great uncle not fired him, Baird's own successful business - Sharp Transportation Systems - might never have been conceived. Like many trucking companies, Baird started his business from one truck out of the basement of his home.

The Head Office and primary terminal in Cambridge, ON services all the activity created by the Transborder demands of our customers.

I've worked for worse, but I've also worked for better. The dispatch here took some getting used too. Shawn himself was good man. Maintenance was hit and miss at times, which is tough to be perfect sometimes, as I had a truck with suspension issues the whole time I drove it, but they attempted to fix it on multiple occasions at least. Pay was a little below average per mile, but dispatcher Devon I had at the end was spectacular, I likely wouldn't have stayed as long as I did if it wasn't for Shawn and Devon. They were a company that was close and helped me stay employed through a very difficult

Sharp offers a work place family atmosphere like none other. Shawn takes the best care of his employees which ensures his employees will take the best care of his costumers. If my family circumstances were right I would’ve worked there until I retired. Great, well maintained equipment, top notch benefits, as many or as few miles as you want, credit is always given where it’s due and mistakes are forgiven when owned. Everything a driver could ask for and then some!
