Primary Care Pediatric Dentistry
We offer services in preventive and restorative dentistry, trauma and emergency care, interceptive orthodontics, child growth and development and behavior management on a constant and continuous basis. Preventive treatments include fluoride application and dental sealants, along with oral hygiene instructions.

Maintaining regular six month check ups enables habit reinforcement and monitoring of the growing child and dentition, minimizing the need for costly interventions. Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry. A pediatric dentist has two to three years specialty training following dental school and limits his/her practice to treating children only.
Services
Our mission is to be your child's dental home. We aim to provide exceptional and compassionate care to your child as they grow, through recognizing the individual needs of every child and recommending treatment that is tailored to them. With our child friendly team and dental environment, our primary focus is your child's comfort and acceptance; we strive to establish great oral care habits with your children that will last a lifetime.
As a primary oral health care provider, Dr. Howson-Jones offers services in preventive and restorative dentistry, trauma and emergency care, interceptive orthodontics, child growth and development and behavior management on a constant and continuous basis. Preventive treatments include fluoride application and dental sealants, along with oral hygiene instructions.
Non-nutritive habits - thumb sucking and pacifier use at a young age, then nail biting and pen chewing as teenagers. Injury prevention - child proofing your home in the beginning, car safety, bike safety, sports participation, trauma management and follow up. Diet - from bottle to Sippy cup to regular cup, then pop and sports drink use as children get older.
Nitrous oxide (or laughing gas) is a colorless and virtually odorless blend of 2 gases with a faint, sweet smell. When inhaled, it is absorbed by the body and has a calming effect. It is an effective agent for lessening pain and anxiety. It generally works well in children who have some degree of cooperation.
Your child's first dental experience is an important one. A pediatric dentist is specially trained in children's oral health and milestones in their growth and development. This presents a unique opportunity to assess your child's mouth, tissues as well as their teeth; it also facilitates a discussion with you as their parent about home oral care habits and the chance to educate about best practices or changes as needed.

Cleanings can only be done on Thursdays for some reason which makes it difficult to get an appointment when you are a working parent. Initial interactions with Jenn and other staff were great, earlier this year though she was quite rude because we were delayed getting in for a cleaning when it was covid, all offices were closed and they changed to only doing cleanings on Thursdays.

I brought my child with a tooth pain today. I got charged $151 for 20 minutes examination. Nothing was done to help my child. This place did not tell me that they cannot do the filling today. I understand they need to do examination but they do filings what is the EMERGENCY then? My child has severe pain cannot eat. I have bad experience with this place.

During care was "good" by the dentist. Their ability for post care and transitional care from child to adult is very poor and I would not recommend this dentist due to their inability to progress the patient to an appropriate care giver.

Worst experience we’ve ever had at any dentist has been at this place. I highly recommend you DO NOT GO THERE!!!
Without asking just saying she was going to fix my child teeth. She put 6 silver crowns (looks ridiculous) 3 baby root canals, pulled a tooth and put a spacer. For a bloody 5 year old!
I’ve just been told by other people they do work when they don’t have to and it’s a money grab. I will be speaking with a lawyer about this!

I really liked this dentist so it is a shame that we will have to be finding a new one for our son. The lady in the office was so rude today to me after having many phone calls she informed me that my son's appointment was to be pushed back because of an emergency with a younger child which I totally understand but the new time did not work for me cause of work and my son would benefit better from an appointment first thing in the morning because of his disabilities and medication which he would not be able to take because of the sedation. After trying to accommodate the new time I was not able

AMAZING! We have been seeing Dr. Howson Jones since she opened. We were concerned our son was going to have a tough time as he has always been nervous around doctors, but she and her staff did an amazing job of making it fun, and working up to getting a full cleaning! He goes now with no problem and his sister has been able to watch this positive experience and begs to go to the dentist!! 5 Stars!!!

We love Jen and her staff. They're always warm, friendly and great with my kids. My son has autism and I was worried how he would handle the dentist. Jen and her staff were great with him explaining everything they are doing and letting touch and experience the tools. Needless to say he loved going there and always asks when's his next appointment.

All three of my children go to Dr. Jen, ages 4.5 - 14 months. They absolutely LOVE going there! Not only is everything tailored to be comfortable and fun for them, but I feel confident in the care she provides. She is calm, knowledgeable, and thorough. My children, who are extremely shy in these settings, are totally at ease. I have definitely recommended them to my friends and family.

I was told my daughter had 6 cavities so bad that all 4 of her back molars needed silver caps. Ok, fine, time to brush better. Never had the work done. Went to a different dentist one year later and was told that only one silver cap was needed, and one cavity was so small, it was even hard to see.
I don't understand why unnecessary work was suggested. Sounds like a money grab to me.
I also left her office feeling like a horrible parent. I was getting grilled on what I feed my daughter, and that she's over weight. My doctor isn't concerned about my child's weight, so maybe the dentist should stick

My sister in law took her 4 year old daughter here for a checkup. They stated she had 4 cavities that needed crowns. They scheduled them to go in to have them all done at the same time using conscious sedation. The day of the appointment came and they went in. Her daughter freaked out after the sedation and they ended up having to leave without any work done. My wife recommend they go to our dentist in poco (who isn't a paediatric dentist). After her first patient exam the dentist stated that she doesn't need any crowns just filling. He decided to do each filling on different appointments with
