Rocky Mountain Chimney Sweeps has been operating in the Columbia Valley, Golden, Field and Lake Louise areas since 2008 and we've recently expanded our service area to include the Bow Valley. We service wood burning systems of all types, includinG: wood stoves, wood furnaces, fireplaces and pellet stoves.
At Rocky Mountain Chimney Sweeps we strive to help educate our clients on how to burn effectively and efficiently to get the best performance and safest operations from their wood burning systems. When possible we always try to clean from the top down so we can inspect your chimney above the roof line to ensure it is functioning as it should.

Services
We will check your wood stove and chimney system to ensure it is in good working order. While we are cleaning your chimney and wood stove we will be keeping an eye out for any damaged or worn out parts. We can replace broken fire brick and repair or replace door seals if needed*. Thermostat controlled wood furnaces often accumulate creosote in the chimney quite quickly due to lower burning temperatures.
A dirty chimney can cause problems you might not be aware of. When wood, coal, oil, and artificial fire logs burn, they generate tars, creosotes, and other invisible by-products of incomplete combustion. These by-products rise up your chimney and condense onto the cool surface of the flue. No matter what wood you burn, or how conscientiously you burn it, creosote accumulates and the probability of chimney fires occurring increases.
