As a new client of our veterinary hospital in Oakville, you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment you will be greeted warmly by our receptionists who will discuss your concerns, check-in and weigh your pet. Then, one of our vets will call you and your pet into an exam room and examine your pet, ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed.

During surgery and other medical procedures, our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians monitors all patients to ensure their safety. We monitor every procedure, regardless of whether it's routine or more advanced. The type of anesthesia we use depends on the procedure. Some require general anesthesia, while others may only call for local anesthesia.

We had been referred to Royal Ford Veterinary Hospital by a neighbour when we first moved to Oakville, and were happy with the service we received when we took our two cats for their first annual checkup.
Recently, we noticed that our older cat's nails had grown too long, and required a vet's attention. I was mortified that we had let this happen, but the staff at the clinic were very understanding and supportive. They were able to see her the same day we called, and took great care of her. And the fee was considerably reasonable than I had anticipated!

Dr. Chris Catena is the best Vet I have ever encountered and truly amazing from my first day to my last. He always provided the utmost care for my dog and referred me to a specialist when required. I felt valued as a client. Some may view them as pricy but you get what you pay for and they are worth every cent. The whole Royal Ford team is wonderful. Would recommend to everyone.

Both Dr David and Dr Chris are wonderful caring veterinarians. They give you straight answers and provide information and options. They also provide chiropractic care for your pets by allowing Dr Jason from Foundations chiropractic to host a clinic one day a week. My dog was recently diagnosed with diabetes and Dr Chris and his assistants guided me through the process of caring for my little guy and his condition. I couldn't be more appreciative for their caring and dedication.

Dr. David Polson took a great care of us and our cat, in a very courteous manner. He is genuinely interested in helping animals, is a gentleman, and has great authority that pets really feel. Our cat is always quite unhappy, to say the least, when strangers approach him, never mind touching him. To the point we needed to give him mild sedation in the past just to bring him to the vet. He never raised a concern about David's thorough inspection though. This in itself is amazing.

I have been fortunate to have Dr. Polson and Dr. Catena care for my dogs and cats for well over 20 years and have the utmost respect and appreciation for their professional opinion no matter what the circumstances of my visits have been. For many, many years Dr. Polson has treated my pets with nothing but kindness, love and great skill. He will never recommend a procedure if there is little benefit to your pet or it will cause too much trauma. I have moved out of the neighbourhood but will continue to bring my critters to Royal Ford as long as they are here.

An amazing veterinary clinic! Dr. Polson and his staff are honest, genuine and compassionate. We have had a few emergencies with our dogs and were seen immediately and received top quality, unmatched care. The clinic is well managed and immaculately clean. Both doctors, dr. Catena and dr. Polson are amazing. Currently we are dealing with dr Polson and I can't say enough about him. The guy is a dog whisperer! He could have pushed all kinds of expensive tests on us (that we can't afford) but he tried a simple procedure first that ended up working really well. You can just feel that he has the pet's best interest in mind but also the owners best interest.
Without going into too much detail all i can say is that I trust him immensely after how he treated us and our greyhound recently.
