Public speaking during my school years was not one of my strong points, so when I decided to become a mobile DJ, I knew that had to change. In 1996 my mobile DJ career began. While working for a local company I learned that it wasn't just about the music, it was about the crowds reaction to the music that I was playing and how I have to adapt.

While having all the current hits is important, a variety of music tastes usually makes up your crowd. So a DJ with a large music selection is one of the things you need to consider when booking for your event. Another thing to consider is the appearance of the DJ, a DJ who is dressed as well as the wedding party is more likely going to be professional in attitude as well as appearance.

Wireless microphone(s) and microphone stand(s) for your Master(s) of Ceremonies and all other speeches/announcements. Use of cordless handheld or lapel microphone for the person performing the ceremony as well as availabilty for lapel microphones for bride & groom if they so wish.

Instrumental or pre-selected music when guests arrive for the ceremony, pre-selected songs for arrival of groomsmen, bridesmaid and bride, signing of the registry and recessional.

How can you, as a client(or even a guest at the event) make the DJ/MC at the event feel relaxed and not stressed out? While most won't admit to this, as the focus is on the couple and not the DJ, I have found over the years at weddings that I have done a few things that have made me feel more relaxed.
