Services
Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient Japanese form of energy healing that means 'Universal life force energy', the energy which is in us and all around us. To understand how energy healing works, it is helpful to remember that everything in our Universe is energy; our thoughts, our emotions, and our bodies are all made up of energy.
When someone learns they are pregnant, they find themselves in need of guidance, comfort, compassion and support, and so they invite birth professionals to journey with them; to monitor them, educate them on their options and help create and facilitate their birth plan. The very same support is needed when someone learns they are dying.
It can be hard to understand what it that means; that someone we love has died, that we will never see them, touch them or hold them again. Somehow, the world seems the same, and yet it's so different because someone we love so dearly is missing. We may feel lost and incomplete, and even wonder who we are in life without that person.
The theory of this course is taught in one full day and includes a Level I Attunement, Reiki I Manual with introduction to the history and theory of Usui Reiki, learning about the chakras, and instruction and illustration of hand positions and how to perform Reiki self treatment, chair treatment and table treatment on others with adequate practice time.

You have opened my eyes to some endless possibilities. All I can say is WOW! Merri-Lee has totally changed my outlook on Reiki. I used to be skeptical but Reiki has helped me so much in life.

Merri-Lee provides professional services with her Reiki along with a relaxing environment for her clients. She is able to take time in the beginning of each session to assess any areas of concern or discomfort that would be a focus point. I would highly recommend Soul Journeys Healing & companioning to anyone seeking aid in relaxation and, of course, healing.

I met Merri Lee during a devastating time in my life. I went for Reiki sessions a couple times a month and it helped me tremendously during those difficult times. Her warm, compassionate energy offered the support I desperately needed and gave me the inspiration to keep going. She is kind and sooo wise. But it's Merri Lee's big brave heart that sets her apart from the rest. Highly recommend!

My Reiki journey began about six years ago. I was first introduced to it by Merri-Lee the owner of Soul Journeys. Reiki helps in so many ways. I am always more relaxed. I can only describe the feeling as being lighter, lifted, happier and calm. I always look forward to my next session.

Cannot say enough good things about Merri-Lee and her reiki treatments! As soon as you walk into her beautiful, warm and inviting room, you feel at home. Merri-Lee makes the entire experience from start to finish comfortable and easy. It feels like you are in the presence of someone you’ve known forever. Such a beautiful and humbling experience. Merri-lee is my Reiki Master and Has taught me all three levels and I am now a Reiki Master myself! All courses and this whole transformation and healing has been amazing, full of warmth and light and learning! I am so grateful for my time with Merri - Lee and how much I have learned with her. There are many life gifts I have received from Merri-Lee; one being the 5 reiki principles. My greatest struggle was: “Just for today, I will not worry”!
I sought Merri-Lee out after my niece told me about Reiki. I read through websites of various practitioners and resonated with the “Living Well” section of souljourneyshealing.ca.
I set my intention to be able to sleep through the night and after one session, I was back to normal sleeping! I was involved in a high anxiety situation and that too quickly disappeared. Merri-Lee took the time to listen to me and I found her to be very intuitive

My first introduction to Merri-Lee was as a Reiki client, referred to, by one of her former business, employees. To me, that spoke volumes as to who she is. I felt safe, welcomed, noticed and understood, as I was navigating my journey at that point. In the years following,I went on to take 2 Reiki courses with her, as well, learning more about her passion for where her life has taken her and how true she is to everyone that has been brought to her. I can't even begin to explain the difference Reiki and Merri-Lee have made in my life. Not only do I feel that Reiki makes a huge difference in my general overall mood, but also, I feel it gives me a more positive attitude and the strength to face my problems head on. Merri- Lee is absolutely wonderful and from my very first appointment with her, she has done nothing but put me at ease. I always look forward to my treatments and find them so relaxing and comforting. I love that Reiki is now a part of my self care routine and that Merri-Lee is the one providing that care.
