We have been committed to serving the Regina community since 1986, when Dr. Robert McKay first opened his practice. We have provided the community with the highest standard of care ever since. Today, and we have grown to serve Regina and Grenfell with 2 locations. We are an independently-owned practice run by Dr. Myles Bokinac and Dr. Rhea Anderson.
Regular visits to the optometrist are essential to maintaining your vision and diagnosing serious eye issues like glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and cataracts early. With the proper diagnosis and care, 75% of vision loss is preventable and treatable. If you're between the ages of 20 and 64, you should have an eye exam at least every two years.
Regular eye exams are especially important for developing eyes. Childhood is when many visual issues develop, and oftentimes children don't understand their vision problem or can't communicate that they are having issues. Children's eye exams typically take a half hour to an hour, depending on the age of the child.
Diabetes affects the whole body, including your eyes. Annual eye exams become that much more important for those with diabetes, as diabetes can increase your risk of developing other ocular diseases. If you have diabetes, you have an increased chance of developing cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma.

Dr. Sean Reimer is a great doctor. He is very helpful, friendly, answered all my questions in very details. He shared his knowledge with me in easy language so I can understand the terminology.
Karrie is awesome, very helpful and friendly.

Great optometrist but worst front desk staff ever. One even hung up on me. I was called to come and pickup my glasses. Only thing I was told is to inform them when I get there. This lady literally won't listen to me. She kept telling me they have to book an appointment again. On trying to explain to ther that I was called to come and pick them up before their closing time be 5pm she said no and hung up on me.

Advanced eye care, the staff and Doctors are wonderful. They have always gone above and beyond for my kids and I. I am a single mom and I have a child that suffers with some serious vision issues. The Doctors and staff have always been there for us when we have needed help, support, information, emergency appointments, or even just working with us financially.

Fantastic service!! Dr. Sean Reimer was professional, attentive and explained everything to me along the way. All the staff at the front were very friendly and knowledgeable. Sharon was very helpful and patient in helping me find the right frames and couldn't be happier with my new glasses! Overall I can't say enough good! If you need a checkup and new glasses this is the place to go!

Went with our two small children today (4 years and 21 months) and Advance Eye Care was excellent. Dr. Reimer was fantastic from start to finish and explained what he was doing as he moved through the tests. The kids were smiling, laughing, singing! I would recommend this centre (and Dr. Reimer) to anyone with kids. Really wonderful experience.

Advance Eye Care is the leading edge of eye care technology. Not your typical eye exam, as they check for so many things that you feel like you've never even had a real eye exam until you've been to this place. Great staff, very knowledgeable and thorough, and I highly recommend to all of my friends and clients to go see them.
