I started the company after working for a local wood stove & fireplace shop. In the six years I was there I devoted myself to learning all that I could about the wood heat industry. Starting at the bottom I quickly climbed up the ladder going from gofer to installer to head installer to sales up to manager.
During this time, I kept running into the same problems, the stove shop was too busy to do the small but important things for our customers. I found that I was getting called out on a lot of service calls that I thought the sweeps could be doing or could do better if they were more familiar with the wood stoves (and/or) systems they were cleaning.

ProSweepPlus is a family owned and operated Professional Chimney Sweep business that also provided Home Maintenance Services, clean up and repairs. WETBC ( Wood Energy Technicians of British Columbia ) is the provincial governing body of the Wood Energy Technical Training Program in British Columbia. WETT is Canada's only system for training and recognizing professional competence in the field of residential wood burning.
The program was developed to promote knowledge of and adherence to, the safety regulations governing residential wood burning systems among those who provide professional services to the public.Since the first courses were offered in 1988, more than 3,000 people from all parts of Canada have participated.

We were very impressed with Pro Sweep Plus, from the online booking to the thorough chimney clean and inspection. They also put some wire mesh around the chimney cap to stop birds from falling in. Very professional. Will definitely use them again!

Murray is always great. From the fact that I get a handy email reminder that my cleaning is due; to being able to book online; to him being on time, quick, efficient and clean; to the way he gives everything a quick inspection and mentions things that need fixing and is always ready to answer questions; he's a consummate professional. I always feel safer about how my woodstove and chimney will function after Murray has been here.
