Welcome to my clinical practice and thank-you for taking the time to visit this website. As a registered psychologist in British Columbia, I provide evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals and couples who are looking for growth, healing, and an opportunity to lead more meaningful and productive lives.
I also facilitate therapy groups for trauma, anger, and anxiety. Few people enter therapy without questions, hesitation, or uncertainty. Sharing profound and meaningful personal issues to someone new requires a step of faith. Establishing a trusting and collaborative relationship with a therapist is vital to the success of treatment.

I am a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia (#1999). I received my APA-accredited doctorate in clinical psychology in 2007 following a clinical internship at Washington State University. My dissertation was on the relationship between adult attachment styles and sexuality.
Psychological services are currently not covered under the BC Medical Services Plan. However, you may be covered through private health insurance and extended health benefit plans (e.g., Blue Cross) provided by your employer. You may want to check with your employer about what services are covered, and the limits of coverage, if you have a plan through your work.

Dr. Sam Morgan is a great psychologist. I've had the pleasure of seeing him over the past two years, and throughout those years he has helped me overcome many obstacles which I had struggled with my whole life. He's also helped me learn more about myself, and I can honestly say that his help has enabled me to have deep and meaningful insights into my own nature. His empathy, compassion, patience, knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to helping others is always on display every visit.

Dr. Morgan came and spoke at our youth programs during a series of talks on mental health. He spoke with our youth about general mental health and self care principals. His presentation was very engaging, caring, and relational and was very well received by our youth. He was even willing to stay and connect with a few youth who wanted to talk with him after his presentation. I was very impressed by how genuinely he cared for our youth!

Very empathetic and does not ask for details of events which may re-introduce you to trauma. He is willing to diagnose you from the get-go and give you the treatment option of your choice. He is good at explaining the processes of various options, along with the approximated number of visits required. He also is a great advocate to have in your field if you are have an un-supportive doctor.
