Cider Mill Farms
Cidermill Farms and Equestrian Centre was established in 2002. We have now taught generations of competent riders to learn and love the sport. Whether your goal is to learn the basics of riding or to eventually own and compete your own horse, we can provide you with the tools and the confidence to set you on the right path. We are also very happy to welcome two new coaches to the Cidermill team: Rachel Bradner Pachek, an equine osteopath and former Cidermill student and Amy Schoenberger, a local coach and rider.
Services
Riders are enrolled in a weekly lesson program on our well schooled horses. They may start in a private lesson and move to a group lesson when they are deemed ready by their instructor. Riders learn to groom and tack their horses appropriately for their lesson. In their lessons, they work with horses in flat work, work over ground poles and eventually over jumps.
Our camp program is designed for children ages 5-12 to give beginning and novice riders an introduction to riding and horse care and management. The program focuses on safe practices for riding and horse handling. We also strive to educate the young equine enthusiast in proper care and management of the horse at a level that is appropriate to the camper's age.
