Canada Iron and Metal is one of the oldest and most efficiently operating ferrous yards in Toronto. We operate only with the finest and newest Liebherr material handling machines and CAT forklifts. We have two seperate sorting areas so customers can be served quickly and accordingly. All of our scales are government inspected, calibrated and certified.

Our warehouse manager has been constantly cited as being the most respectable in the industry which is why our returning customers account for over 85% of our non-ferrous business.

This place thrives on the backs of the low income local residents, who can spend months finding what they can to make some extra money. Most of them probably don’t realize they are being taken advantage of, or just don’t have another option. This is the only place I’ve ever seen people take the bus to drop of metal. That says a lot. Unfortunately there aren’t many options in Toronto and so this “business” takes advantage of their monopoly in the neighbourhood.

I had some scrap computer equipment and a few heavy metal items from a renovation. The people at the yard were friendly and helpful.
They seemed very professional and gave me more cash than I had expected. They had very knowledgeable staff and were a pleasure to do business with. I had a great conversation with the owner and was surprised to learn of their long history in the city.
It was amazing to see the level of organization and equipment they had on site. They have everything organized and sorted in massive piles and bins.

Very good service and best price payed through out the year. Staff are very polite and strive to help every customer that comes in. I like their approach as they serve first come first serve base. Managers are honest and with a sense of humour trying to create a smile to every one that comes to their scale. They even give free magnets for people to help them separate their scrap metal from any other metals.
