Shooters Family Golf Centre & Restaurant opened its original driving range & miniture golf in the spring of 1994. At the time founders, Guido & Sue were both commercial bankers. When Guido became a corporate banker and started golfing at private clubs with his bank clients, he often found it could be intimidating.
Guido thought, 'One day I'm going to build a golf course where everyone's equal' and that is how Shooters became Winnipeg's first family golf centre. With the original 9-holes opening in September of 1998 & the following 9-holes opening in 2000, Shooters Family Golf Centre is now an executive 18-hole golf course, 100 stall driving range, miniture golf, golf simulator facility (in winter months) & an excellent restaurant that is open year round.

Experience Winnipeg's only 18 Hole, Par 57 Executive Golf Course. The 18 hole layout which is highlighted with mature trees and bordered by the Red River is designed to provide a memorable game of golf regardless of your skill level. Playing 2879 yards from the blue tees, challenging greens combined with strategically placed water hazards will test the nerves of even the lowest handicappers.
Our practice facility boasts 50 grass tees and 50 mat tees. The Driving Range is clearly marked with yardage signs starting at 75 yards to 250 yards. Practice your short game by taking aim at our 2 target greens which range from 110 yards to 165 yards from the hitting area. Our range ball inventory is always kept current with 25,000 high quality SRIXON range balls.
Shooters has a TruGolf Simulator System which utilizes the best E6Golf Software. With Flight Scoope ball tracking technology Shooter's Golf Simulator is great for a fun evening with friends and family, or an hour of practice to keep your game in tip top shape year round! Choose to play from over 55 different golf courses including: Peeble Beach Golf Links, The Links at Spanish Bay, St. Andrews Old Course, and St. Andrews New Course.

Ladies Night at Shooters is a very social, non-competitive evening of 9 holes of golf. The evening is about having fun with friends as well as making new golfing friends while at the same time learning and improving your golf game.
Join us for a Group Ladies Clinic where we will cover key shot making, fundamentals, practice & strategy. This league is designed to welcome Juniors into the world of competitive golf & all it has to offer. Things such as honesty, respect, sportsmanship & perseverance will be the highlights of this league.

My husband and I went for breakfast this morning around 9:30 a.m. and noticed the restaurant getting filled up. There was only one server at the time and she did a fabulous job at getting everyone something to drink. The cook came out to take some of the orders and our order was delivered to the table shortly after. The breakfast was very tasty as usual and at 10:00 a.m. another server showed up. I think the staff did a fabulous job at getting everyone's order out promptly. One of the reasons we love coming to Shooter's.

Shooters is a decent family golf course. The greens are well enough kept, the difficulty of the holes is fairly easy, and the club house provides average food.
What it really comes down to is it's both in a really convenient location, just off the peremiter on main Street, and it's cheap.
For the price you will be paying, this golf course is unmatched. You will pay double going elsewhere and you won't get double the quality. Shooters is a high quality budget round of 18 holes.

Only used the driving Range this visit but from what I experienced the facilities were lively with well maintained driving matts as well as a large grass driving area for those that want to practice more realistic driving. Bucket pricing is reasonable as well making it an economical option for a family night out!

Clean, busy, everyone seems to be having a good time. I enjoy the option of a grass or padded driving range. The 18 hole par 3 is a little crazy at times, but it's a par 3. I don't expect PGA type designs here, all I care is it's in good shape. Considering the amount of traffic, it is. Great place to work on your game.
