During the first several years of operation, business was conducted out of a metal cash box in the Identification Room of the Crime Division at the Central Police Station on 174 Rupert Avenue and both Committee and Board Meetings were held in the police station.

We offer our members a full service line of products such as chequing accounts, savings accounts, investments including Mutual Funds*, mortgages, loans, and lines of credit just to name a few!Although we love when you come in to see us we also appreciate that you are busy and often prefer to do your banking at your convenience.

We have several types of chequing accounts available to you. If you need help deciding which one would best suit your needs, call us at 204-944-1033 and we would be pleased help you. Econo Service Chequing is suitable if you use 30 transactions per month or less. MAXIMIZER(R) Chequing is great if you maintain $1000 in your account, and use electronic banking.
Informal Trust accounts are available to members to open on behalf of their child/grandchild (0 - 6 years) for savings such as education or "first" account for a new baby. Contact us at 204-944-1033 for more information and requirements. Each time you use your debit card, you will have your purchase rounded up to the nearest $1, $5, or $10 eg.
Winnipeg Police Credit Union encourages all young members to learn about the benefits of smart money management, because it can really pay off when they're older. One way of accomplishing this important objective is through our two popular youth programs - the "Rookie" program for kids and youth from 6-15 years old; and "HEADSTART(R)" for youth and young adult between the ages of 16 and 21.
All chequing account rates are daily tiered rates. Eg. Interest paid monthly is calculated on closing balance daily. For instance, if you have $50,000 in your US chequing account, your first $5000 earns 0.00% interest, the balance of $5001 to $25,000 earns 0.05% interest, and so on. Only the balance OVER $25,000 will earn the full 0.05% interest.
