Our scrap yard superhero Captain Salvage, Dov grew up spending a lot of time in the yard, learning about the scrap metal business from his father, Saul, who was the original owner. After Saul's passing in 2002, Dov proudly took over the family business. Dov continues to run the yard with the same passion that started when he was just a teen, and is a pretty fun guy to work for!

We do not sell anything other than scrap metal. Yes, if you found a part in our yard, you could buy it as scrap metal. However, we do not catalogue specific auto-parts and cannot give you any mechanical advice, sorry. A: We offer pick-up services. Whether pick up is free or not depends on the proximity to our location, the labour required, and the load's size/value.

Please note: Non Ferrous metals are regulated province wide. This means you are required to have a provincial ID, driver's license or business registration to sell to any scrap dealer in BC. We are required by law to keep this information on file for 1 year before all information is destroyed with respect to your privacy.

The whole process was smooth and professional. I had a very heavy and unusual item to move: they collected the information they needed to make a good evaluation of the job, they arrived with the right equipment/people, pickup was efficient, and the billing was accurate and well documented. A slight delay that was beyond their control was communicated promptly. Overall, a well organized and professional operation providing good service.

Cleanest and very organized yard, I don't have to worry about driving on nails and puncturing my tires which is what I hate about every other scrap yard in the lower mainland. The lady in the office was very nice and helpful and the gentleman working in the yard helped me unload my scrap, what more can you ask for. Thank you so much for helping me out today, I will definitely be coming back in the future. Mano!

Went there with bright bare copper wire and I called a head of time and they quoted me at 2.80 a pound and when I got there and was done they give me the ticket to go to their ATM and they bought my bright bare copper wire scrap for 3.25 a pound , I did my homework and that's the highest paying scrap yard in the greater Vancouver , including Abby and Chilliwack . They were fast and very helpful. Best scrap yard around for miles .

As an avid environmental enthusiast, I am always very concerned about PROPERLY disposing of "waste"; as such, when it came time to move and clean out our garage, I came to these guys at the suggestion of a friend who regularly recycles his scrap from work here.
I was greeted warmly and treated wonderfully despite not really knowing what I was doing and the folks here were MORE than helpful when it came to helping me sort my metals (who knew?!) to get the best return on my metals.
After being weighed up and dealt with by the lovely ladies in the office, I left with an extra $30ish

I come here to buy copper wire ,which I use to make recycled wire art and funky recycled wire jewelry. I am sooooo happy I found Capital salvage and it's rad employees are what makes it special.
