Marten has applied his formal education in economics and planning to a successful 35-year career in the real estate development industry. His instinct for the real estate development business has evolved from his hands on knowledge combined with extensive experience in senior management and corporate ownership.
Field & Marten Associates was founded in 1993 by partners Raymond Field and Marten Van Huizen. Each brought their hands-on operational and leadership experience to a wide range of project sizes and end uses, from small building renovations to the redevelopment of a 10 acre city core site.
To date they have over 65 combined years of development, real estate, design/build and planning experience working as project managers, partners, and principals of a variety of businesses and corporations throughout Eastern and Western Canada, including FMA.
