Services
Blue Cross Animal Hospital has been at its current location on the Danforth since the nineteen thirties. During that time the hospital has had only five owners. It has grown from a one man practice to a hospital with six veterinarians working full-time to provide up-to-date, affordable health care for your pet.
Choosing the right healthcare provider for your beloved family pet can be a challenge. Read our list of "behind the scenes" factors that we think separate Blue Cross Animal Hospital from the pack. If you still have questions, give us a call, or drop us an email, and let us help you decide that Blue Cross Animal Hospital is the right choice for your four-legged family members.
The American Animal Hospital Association was founded in 1933 and is the only association in North America that provides accreditation to companion animal hospitals. To be accredited by AAHA, our hospital must demonstrate an exceptional level of medical care and client service, and be measured against the most rigorous standards in the veterinary field.
Over the years our clients have given us thoughtful and funny pictures of some of the many wonderful pets who come through our door. Eventually the collection became too large for it's original location on a wall in our waiting room, so we recently digitized the collection and relocated it to a widescreen display.
Customer Service Policy Statement: Providing Goods & Services to People with Disabilities. The mission of Blue Cross Animal Hospital is to put your pet first and offer the best quality veterinary care to our patients while being committed to excellent customer service and respecting the needs of all our clients whenever possible.

The vet was competent, diagnosed an issue that had been a problem for our cat. My issue is that we ALSO brought her in for regular vet care as well, and the vet missed that she needed an updated rabies shot. I was fine to go back in, and Dr Elliston graciously offered to not charge the appointment fee again, which I was grateful for. However when I said I could not make that 1 time slot he offered, he turned very negative and insisted I'd have to pay the full fee again, when I was still within 1 week of the 1st appointment - when he was the one who had missed this issue, and he'd had our cat's

Do not take your pets here. Read the low star reviews and save yourself the grief and money.
The entire staff are horribly rude, unresponsive and clearly are operating solely for profit over anything else. They withhold doing ANYTHING for customers, rarely respond, loose documents and always push payments first and show absolutely no compassion. Can’t wait for this place to shut down.

This clinic is blatantly discriminatory. I tried to establish myself as a client and was told that because I am from Toronto that I could not become a patient with them. They said that because they are too busy they are only taking clients who moved from out of country. What is the deal with that?! I can only imagine how poor the actually service and care is if that's their mindset on patient selection - totally illogical and frankly should be an illegal business practice. Shameful clinic

I have brought my cat here since she was under my care. The Dr.s and vet techs are very knowledgeable and helpful for giving tips, suggestions, and recommendations when it comes to any issues. I highly recommend as primary vet and also for any emergencies. I've called them a few times for emergencies (I wasn't sure if I needed to do something right away or if it will heal on its own) and their phone reception has always been quick and effective. On the future, I will be bringing my future dog here too. Always friendly and clean.
