Mr. Riley is serving a life sentence for first degree murder without eligibility for parole for twenty-five years. Mr. Peters successfully argued before a jury that Mr. Riley's period of eligibility before he can apply for parole should be reduced by three and a half years. The client was charged with second degree murder arising from a drunken confrontation with another young man.
When interviewed by the police after speaking to counsel the client admitted to stabbing the young man but said he did not intend to kill him. The client was charged with two counts of sexual assault following two nights in which he slept at his friend's sister's house. The two nights were a month apart.

No one plans to be charged with a criminal offence. In the event that you do not meet the criteria to obtain legal aid, the financial burden of hiring counsel can be a heavy one. I appreciate this. As most criminal trials can take up to a year before trial, I work at getting my clients on a payment schedule such that the retainer can be paid for over time.
The client was charged with two counts of second-degree murder. The client along with five others were driving to Williams Lake and made a stop at the victim's house, where two men were shot and killed. Defend the charges. The client insisted he was innocent as had no intentions to harm the victims and did not enter the victim's residence that night.
