Dr. Taylor Ostrander is a gifted Chiropractor. She is so compassionate and caring. She listens well and answers all my questions. She is very knowledgeable. I went to Dr. Taylor with my shoulder Supraspinatus full thickness tear related neck pain. She figured out the reason and treated me. I am so much impressed with her professional approach. I rarely take time to leave Google Reviews but, I wanted to ensure that I wrote out how thankful I am for Dr. Nimal's help at Active Integrative Medicine (AIM). I've played basketball my entire life and have never suffered an injury like I had 3 months ago. My right arm experienced a bit of nerve damage which negatively impacted both my personal & work life terribly.
After an evening in an ER, doctors appointments, x-rays/ultrasounds and a ton of prescribed painkillers - the issue was essentially left to me to find a specialist and begin the journey to full recovery. I met Dr. Nimal and she was extremely down to Earth; patient, both a great listener and conversationalist. She truly wanted to find the best solution towards remedying the crippling pain and for the first time in a long time (after having had numerous chiropractor experiences in the past) I felt cared for like a person, rather than simply another client in a long work day's agenda.
I've seen Dr. Nimal at minimum once per week, sometimes twice per week, for the past 3 months and I am so glad to be getting my life back on track as the summer is now finally beginning. She is such a thorough Chiropractor, and between that specific type of therapy, the Acupuncture that she provides as well, and what she has instructed me to complete at home in regards to personal exercises - they have truly made more of a difference than any painkiller could have benefited my scenario.
I'm truly thankful for my appointments and interactions with Dr. Nimal. I've lived in Durham Region for the past 10 years and I certainly believe that she is one of the greatest doctors here in our area. Thank you, Dr. Nimal, and to the team at Active Integrative Medicine.
