Veterinary care is crucial and effective for a wide variety of conditions. The following is a partial list of some of the most common. If you do not see your pet's specific condition listed, we encourage you to give us a call so we can personally address your particular concerns.

The most common type of arthritis is osteoarthritis which can be due to wear and tear on joints from over use, aging, injury, or from an unstable joint such as which occurs with a ruptured ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) in the knee.Leptospirosis is a serious, life-threatening disease caused by a spiral shaped bacteria.
Over 85% of dogs and cats have some type of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease simply means that the gums and bone that hold the teeth in place are being destroyed by oral bacteria. This preventable disease is the number one diagnosed disease in our pets, yet many animals suffer needlessly. Bloat and gastric torsion is a serious condition and your pet should be rushed to the emergency room if this occurs.

If you need to get your dog vaccinated with standard vaccines, and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, this is the place to go...
I had my dog neutered at another clinic on Vancouver Island recently in Pt. Hardy (to skip the 3-4 month waiting list everywhere else since vets are so busy with neutering these days)...not such a big deal because I live over there already and come into Vancouver every few weeks...As part of the neutering they did a physical check up on the dog. I wanted to get 3 vaccines done at the same time, and the clinic in Pt. Hardy wanted to charge me $183 for three vaccines

Amazing experience. My pup was here for surgery I was very happy with the outcome. Dr. Gurg goes above and beyond making sure his patients are treated like family, like they are his own. This doctor is very patient, caring, understanding, honest,…most importantly makes his job a priority providing customers above 100% satisfaction. I would also like to mention the secretary for giving me an amazing experience. I would also like to thank the doctor, who’s name I didn’t get but was also just as caring. Thank you so much, you now have a loyal customer and a loving pup that will live healthier

Positive: Professionalism
Was in a pinch on Christmas Eve and really needed medicated shampoo to help my allergy-ridden French Bulldog. We aren’t from here so were unable to get to our normal vet. These guys were the only vet who were kind and accommodating- and I called around 5 in the area. Super professional and helpful front office staff :)

Critical: Professionalism
The vet overprescribes antibiotics, which is a major issue these days with superbugs. When questioned about it, rather than calmly answering any concerns, they become agitated.

I just moved in to the neighborhood and brought my cat to this clinic to be neutered. The wifey already mentioned they were not as welcoming when she dropped off our cat. Thought it was probably just a busy morning or it was too early. However, I did feel the same way when I dropped by at the end of the day to pickup my cat. It felt like I was going to a fast-food restaurant, the first thing they give you is the bill. The person at the reception didn't even know who my cat is and or felt like she cared when I asked about the condition of cat's operation. Didn't even get to speak to the vet or did

I have had an amazing experience here ! I came in with my 15 year old cat after his inner ear had been damaged by another vet :( . Dr Garg and the entire team have been amazing., he was so loving to my boy, and the staff has been so supportive to me. Almost daily calls from the office staff to check on my boy , many calls with Dr Garg regarding test results and my questions and worries. Highly recommend this place for your fur babies !! Walnut Grove Animal Hospital - Thank you so much for all you have done for my sweet Simba.... you have changed our lives and hopefully given him a second chance

In my opinion, this veterinarian practice is very poorly run and the staff is just plain rude and not accommodating. My spouse went in there the first time and they added treats to her bill without consenting her, which is not professional. Unfortunately we had to go back the second time as our puppy needed his vaccinations with a second booster. My spouse is 8?months pregnant and they did not even help her lift the puppy. Again she is 8 months pregnant and this is unacceptable. Lack of customer service on their part and no respect for people in need. In my opinion people should stay clear if this

In July our beloved dog had cancer and took a sudden turn for the worse. We had to put her down and did not want her to suffer longer than she had to. We called around to see if someone was willing to make a house call. Walnut Grove Animal Hospital came through for us!!! Our sweet girl was able to be be at home with her family when she passed. She didn't have to endure more stress or pain by waiting and taking the trip to the clinic. We are extremely grateful to Dr. Garg's for his professionalism, understanding, and compassion in such an extremely difficult time for our family..

The staff here were very friendly, but I didn't find the vet to be very helpful. He didn't really listen to us or communicate the issues very effectively.
I came in with my cat who was limping. The first thing the vet did was check his teeth to see if they needed cleaning. I understand you are supposed to clean your animals teeth (and I do this) but I didn't understand why that was checked first for an animal that was limping. We ended up doing an x-ray and found out he had a chip in his elbow.
The vet wanted us to put him on pain meds, which could cause issues with his kidneys and then potentially

We recently moved to lower mainland over the holidays from Europe and unfortunately, our pet had an emergency illness. Perhaps from the long journey on the plane. We called this hospital and the doctor answered the phone. He was pleasant to talk to and advised us with our next steps. When we met him, he was very kind and he took his time to explain all the questions we had. He worked quickly to take care of our dog. At first we were skeptical because of the horror stories with vets these days, but it's a really lovely place. It felt totally calm and peaceful and it was clearly evident that the
