After working in the insurance industry since 1959 he decided that it was time to start his own brokerage. In 1991 Bob's son, Jeff McAuley joined the brokerage after working for a large insurer in their claims department. As the firm was growing, Bob's son David McAuley came to work in the brokerage in 1993 after working for several years in insurance claims for various insurers.
