We moved into our home when it was 4 years old. We thought since it was so new, it would be a long time before we started to see issues, but we were wrong.
Obviously much of the issues are with the sub contractors that Rykon uses, but we were finding issues with windows fogging up, poor craftsmanship in our cabinets with parts of them falling off, every toilet seat in the house cracked in half after 4 years, even bathrooms that aren't used.
The poor quality subcontractors and the work that was done in our home is very disappointing. I would not buy another Rykon built house again.

I had the pleasure of working with Rykon and their team while we went through the preliminary process of building a home - Although we decided not to build the experience was extremely valuable and appreciative. Specifically Kolby Barnstable, his commitment to ensuring we were comfortable throughout the process did not go unnoticed - I strongly recommend anyone looking to build a home give Kolby a call! Should we decide to build in the future Rykon (Kolby) will be our Contractor of choice.

Rykon continues to impress me with their service. Always happy to answer the telephone and with all the questions a new home owner could have, there are many calls. Special shout out to Ryan Siemens for his kind attention to handling large issues with a kind heart a class. Bob D and Josh M are pretty darn awesome as a post construction team. Every issue they can fix, they have done so with a smile. If you are building in Wilden or McKinley or have a special project, Rykon is a large builder with a personal touch.

We had a fantastic experience building with Rykon. They came highly recommended by previous clients who have built multiple homes with them, and have an outstanding reputation in the Kelowna community. Rykon's whole business practice is based on trust which was something new to us (as often friends and family warn you to be on the offensive when doing any kind of construction). We quickly learned that establishing that relationship was essential to the success of our home.
