Leanna grew up in a small town and understands the needs and goals of farmers and corporate executives alike. She attended the University of Western Ontario for both her B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in history, during which she was both a Dean's list student and, in 1995, achieved the extraordinary achievement of becoming a Western nominee for the Rhodes Scholarship.
After working with children with disabilities for many years, Leanna attended law school where she received the Reuben Wells Leonard prize in family law. Following law school, Leanna worked for 16 years, from articles through to full equity partner, at a major law firm where she was the practice group leader of the matrimonial law group.
