William Parton Agencies was opened in 1956 by the Parton family. William (Bill) Parton, a smart and business savvy family man decided Kitsilano was the perfect place to raise a family and start a business. The result was William Parton Agencies Ltd. The business started as a real estate office and eventually started to provide insurance and notary services.
Its no secret that good drivers pay too much for insurance when you consider the risk they represent to ICBC. The new rate model aims to make the premium drivers pay more representative of the risk they represent to ICBC. A majority of drivers will be better off under the new system, but that means drivers with less experience, drivers with previous at fault accidents, new residents, and new drivers will ultimately pay more.
There are a few important pieces of info to be aware of when entering our province. If you are a new resident or could be one in the future, you have 30 days upon entry to register and insure your out of province vehicle with ICBC, and you have 90 days to get a BC drivers licence.
In order to be credited with discounts associated with driver experience, new residents will have to submit drivers abstracts to ICBC from their previous driving jurisdictions when they get a BC drivers licence.There are certain situations where you may be exempt from BC Insurance and getting a BC Drivers License.

I received excellent service from Spencer. He took the time to go over all the new ICBC changes and helped me get the best coverage while saving money. In other places I felt rushed but not here. Everyhting was done efficiently over the phone and by email.

Because of covid, I don't drive near as much. I had a scheduled move coming up and realized my insurance was about to expire. Although they are under limited emergency operations, they still let me come right in and renew my insurance with no prior warning given my situation. It was so appreciated! The broker explained everything clearly to me and was able to answer all of my questions that I berated him with lol. Have been using this broker a few years now and it has consistently given me the same high level of service.
